The 3-manual organ in St John’s is the work of Henry Willis & Sons of London and was installed in 1894. Apart from the enclosure of the Choir organ in 1913 no major changes have ever been made and a scrupulously careful restoration in 2005 (by David Wells of Liverpool) has resulted in a practically unaltered Willis organ in its original state.
